Associate Director +, New York

We are seeking a dynamic Director+ to lead and grow our North American operations. This role blends creative vision with commercial acumen, overseeing client strategy, team leadership, and agency growth across our US portfolio. Acting as a senior representative of Re: in the region, you will help define our next chapter - cultivating relationships, driving excellence in execution, and building a team that reflects Re:’s collaborative and pioneering ethos.

Responsibilites

  • Leadership & Growth

    ·       Work directly with Re:’s co-founder to develop the US business and client pool.

    ·       Lead and mentor a growing team of communications and PR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

    ·       Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the agency’s US footprint - from travel and design to consumer lifestyle and hospitality sectors.

    ·       Act as a senior representative of Re:, cultivating relationships with clients, journalists, tastemakers, and brand partners across the US market.

    ·       Work closely with the UK leadership team to align global strategy, financial performance, and brand positioning.

     

    Client Strategy & Communications

    ·       Oversee the strategic, creative, and operational direction of all clients

    ·       Serve as strategic lead for all US accounts, ensuring excellence across PR, partnerships, events, influencer programs, and brand storytelling.

    ·       Guide teams in developing and executing integrated communications strategies that build long-term brand value.

    ·       Provide senior counsel to founders, marketing leaders, and creative directors within our client portfolio.

    ·       Identify and activate cross-market opportunities between the US and UK.

    ·       Immerse yourself in all aspects of the agency including our programmes for best performance and inter-agency collaboration.

     

    Commercial & Operational Oversight

    ·       Support recruitment, training, and professional development of the US team.

    ·       Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and P&L management in partnership with the SMT.

    ·       Ensure operational excellence and uphold Re:’s creative and ethical standards across all output.

     

    Who You Are:

    ·       8+ years of experience in agency communications, PR, or brand strategy, ideally within travel, design, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors.

    ·       A natural leader with proven experience managing teams and senior client relationships.

    ·       A strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and creative sensibility.

    ·       Deeply connected within the US media, design, and creative landscapes.

    ·       A proactive builder who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and is motivated by growth and possibility.

    ·       Strong written and verbal communicator who understands the nuance of tone, storytelling, and positioning.
